The Slave Trade in Contemporary Life Hides in Plain View

This blog introduces two series that focus on the 1) products and 2) people that began then, but evolves to impact the world, post-slave trade.

In today's political world, we are introduced to interesting acronyms like CRT and DEI. We hear unfamiliar words like "woke" and familiar words like lazy, incompetent, and inefficient to describe people and programs that politicians don't profit from, so minimized in the US budget. Why do we need these divisions and its accompanying confusion? These acronyms and words describe the designated losers; while the unnamed winners are the 1%. The greed addiction of the few (or 1%) requires more sacrifices from the many. This is not good news primarily because the 99% don't fully understand how this political game was put together.

Unlearning Zone has created two series of blog posts to break down the essential pieces needed to minimize confusion. These series go beyond the overused words "matrix" or "curse" to help humanity realize the new, alternative realities they exist in. There are: 1) products (now institutions) that hide in plain sight (Blog posts #30-33); and 2) different roles for humans caught in this insidious "game" whose color, class, gender/sexual preferences, or age mattered. They require their acceptance of new values and lifestyles imposed, sometimes with violence (Blog posts #34-37). For this game to work, the Main Street people must be overworked, overwhelmed, and distracted so they misunderstand and disappear from conversations or both. Silence works.

The aim of both series is to provide history or context for situations that are poorly understood. Mis-education is worldwide. By starting with the Transatlantic Slave Trade (1441-1888), we see how this

huge -- see left picture-- (slave ships traveled between 5 continents, now with 42 New World countries),
long (450 years or multi-centuries, thus, multi-generational), and
lucrative event, unfolds. The slave trade didn't end, only the products and roles evolved.

Different thinking and technology is required. This was an unprecedented criminal global enterprise. Why criminal? The Europeans stole land, labor, and natural resources to build their wealth during the Industrial Revolution. (From cotton, the first industrial crop or Industrial Revolution 1.0. to 5G and robots or Industrial Revolution 4.0.) All with identical mindsets and values.

Do not despair. There is very little here that you do not individually understand. These series are here to help you connect the dots. Also know, the powerful elite, worldwide, love it when you are unaware, distracted, or asleep. These series help us wake up!
