By placing layers between the Oligarchs (1%) and the citizens, using surrogates, the oligarchs get deniability.

The 2nd Real Battle Line – Accountability
I entered college with Affirmative Action. My white roommates and I lived as equals. I learned HUMANS are never superior to one another, just different. Problem: In a scarcity world, who is accountable when “bad” things happen?
After retirement, I learned the problem is complex layering. Surrogates, the people we see — whether priests, teachers, lawyers, or maybe my roommates, are gatekeepers, carrying out the wishes of people unseen, the 1% or the Elites — the kings, industrialists, bankers. They need deniability. Why? The world’s majority population is POC, while the Elites are ALWAYS “white.” That is the status quo.
Beyond that reality, workers chase the American “nightmare.” Got to have the new car, the bigger house, the workplace promotions, etc. If it happens, it’s rarely at levels worthy of talent. Addictions or distractions numb the overwhelming pain.
Meanwhile, the 1% make profits from their worker’s labor. Why? They own it. Worse, cheap labor is the linchpin that holds this system together. Profits pay the Elites, CEOs, stockholders and surrogates, respectively. Workers get crumbs. Most works know this system and its madness well.
This multi-tier corrupt, caste hierarchical economic system began with the Transatlantic Slave Trade (TST). Divide to Conquer. Former enslaved Africans are always blamed first. Other POCs do not want that bottom position. They work with whites to maintain the status quo. DEI does not address this corruption or layering.
