Multiple sources are required as we seek truth.
From Scarcity1 (1D) to Abundant (3D+)Thinking
In Abundant thinking, the brain makes connections in rich and expanding information as resources improve and mature over time, seeking “truth.
Until one has read multiple, credible sources on a topic, do not believe ANYTHING read. One piece is NOT the WHOLE story, NOT the facts, just information. Information may be correct or incorrect; complete or incomplete; simple or confused; detailed or vague; etc. Seek to understand and clarify the information, not to believe it.
The brain takes it in, leaving room for other theories, interpretations or questions. Valid questions seek more information, not just to show-off. Is this source informed vs. uninformed; sophisticated vs. naïve; competent vs. incompetent; etc.?
Who, what, when, where and why questions provide a superficial starting place. What is included, not included, why and why not? Is there another way to see, justify or validate this?
Do I need more information? Does it really line up? What is missing? Is there an opposing perspective? Establish reasonable, solid standards of proof.
Place this information in a wider context. What else is happening in the community, state, nation or globe at this time? Does context improve or cloud events? Multiple views on the same question allows you to see further and faster than being stuck with one idea.
1In scarcity, the choices are usually either/or. Coupled with dualism, the preferred choices are right orwrong, good or evil. The scope (often linear and one-dimensional).and variety(no “and or both”) are limited.
